So I FINALLY have had time to upload the wedding photos! I uploaded a Facebook album with all 500 photos, but also wanted to post pictures on here so I could give little detail explanations for some of the photos! Without further ado....
Our Wedding!
Date: May 29, 2011
Weather: Perfect! Overcast and comfortable
Location: Altona MB in my parent's backyard
My dad made that R&R wooden heart with his jigsaw, he is amazing!
I cut and sewed all the flag runners you will see, and the paper lanterns were ordered off ebay.
Family did all of the food! How incredible is that?
My friend Jenny and I cut out the paper flags for the straws, glued them on and wrote "Ryan and Richelle" and "06.29.11" on all 200 straws! Thanks Jenny!
I made all the boutonnieres by hand and was pretty pleased with them!
The card vintage travel case and fingerprint tree (which I also made)
The 'card' and 'leaf a thumbprint' sign were hand drawn and watercoloured by yours truly.
The groomsmen all hung out in the far backyard before the wedding, playing hackie sack.
Our niece, Neveah threw (or ate!) froot loops instead of flower petals....
we kind of have a cereal fetish, it's ridiculous!
And the programs were designed by me, scanned on the computer and completed by our wonderful friend Jadyn Klassen.
Instead of the typical unity symbol we made Nesquick chocolate milk and drank it!
I poured the milk, he poured the sauce and voila!
Wasn't this place just MADE for a wedding?!
These cherry blossoms across the street from my house bloom for just ONE week every year!
What perfect timing!
I bought vintage lace to wrap around all the bouquets.
My grandpa drove us around in his old car after we were married.
picnic style!
All the basket numbers and flowered lettering were all hand done, one at a time, drawn and then water colour by me. This was my favourite thing to do ever!
My mom made the cake pops as the wedding favours.
Again, all the dessert labels were hand made, as well as the thank you banner.
The kissing game: If you can get 3 hits with a hackie sack, we kissed!
Here are Ryan's uncles giving it a try!
Ryan and I's favourite thing to do is go for bike rides. The baby blue bike I'm riding was my great grandmothers bike and is VERY special and significant to me. If you haven't seen our engagement video yet, I'll have to post a link to it (it involves bikes too!)
The beautiful flowers were from Bloom in Winkler! A marvelous store, which I have blogged about in the past!
Dress: My mother's dress that she wore to my Dad's graduation. I had a friend from Fine Arts rework the dress into what I wanted. All the lace was bought thrift from MCC in Altona.
Seamstress: Maggie Jonk
Brides Jewellery: Necklace = grandmothers, Earrings =
Midkid, Bracelet = Superstore
Honeymoon: Detroit Lakes and Minneapolis
Hope you enjoyed all the photos everyone!
